It only takes around 30 minutes to drive from our campground to the entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so you will have plenty of opportunities to explore the 800+ miles of trails throughout the park. Plus, you can also enjoy strolling along the riverside here at our campground!
2. Grill a Meal
Next up, another of the top camping activities to enjoy here at our campground is grilling a meal with your family! We have plenty of charcoal grills here at River Cove Campground, so you can choose to make hot dogs, burgers, chicken wings, or whatever else you want to include in your camping feast. And, naturally, you will want to end the evening with some delicious s’mores!
3. Go Fishing
If you are looking for some good, old-fashioned fun here at our campground, then just grab a fishing pole and head down to the river! Since our campground is located on the Little Pigeon River, you will have the chance to catch fish such as smallmouth bass, trout, and more! Please keep in mind that a valid Tennessee fishing license is required in order to fish at our campground, and all state catch limits must be followed.

Sometimes, parents find themselves looking for a way to help their kids get some extra energy out, and that is when a visit to our playground is one of the best camping activities available! As kids run, jump, climb, and play, parents can relax and enjoy the fresh Smoky Mountain air.
